Work is beginning on this year's annual Seycove Auction, Born to Be Wild, featuring dinner, live music, an auction, and games.
This year's party is on Saturday, February 24th, 2015. Save the date!
We need your help!
Please help us raise money for the public schools by helping out as a volunteer and making sure we throw a great party. Each of our catchment schools are looking for volunteers to help in preparation and planning for this year’s Seycove Auction.
A variety of roles are available to suit anyone's schedule. Please review the possibilities below and contact your school liaison to volunteer your help or for more information.
Acquisitions We are looking for 1-2 more people at each school to help with acquisitions.
This involves asking businesses for auction donations. Each school has pre-assigned shopping centres where most of the businesses have given in the past. This will be ongoing from about the 15th of November to the 15th of February and volunteers can fit it in their own time schedule.
Sponsorship We have had terrific sponsors in the past and we're hoping they return this year! This involves delivering/e-mailing Sponsorship Brochure, get company logos if new, picking up and returning sponsor banners.
Tickets and Tables The tickets this year will be printed out and can be bought at each of the 4 school offices. We need a person to keep track of which schools need more tickets/tables, and organize the Table seating with the seating chart.
Take Down Help We are looking for people to help stack tables and chairs and take down decorations after the music stops.
Raffle Coordinator We are looking for a person to head up the 50/50 raffle for the evening of the event.
Food Coordinator Coordinate with the caterer and students who will be helping deliver the salads, meals and desserts.
Webmaster The Seycove Auction Website needs to be updated with pictures and descriptions of the auction items and sponsor logos. This can be accomplished by someone with a knowledge of html, ftp, Illustrator and Photoshop.
Check Out, Data Entry We need people to help enter bidders in the two weeks prior to the event on the computer, assigning bidder numbers. Also, at the end of the evening we need people to help check people out, printing out their winnings and cashing them out for their auction items.
